Soothing Bath Soak

Updated: 14 hours ago

Bath time is not just for kids! I recommend soaking in a soothing bath once a week. There are many benefits from stress reduction, improved circulation, supporting detoxification, pain reduction, improved mood, enhanced sleep, and better skin. It is recommended to soak for 20-30 minutes.

Here are a few of my favorites:

1.      1-2 cups Epsom salt in warm water. You can add essential oils to the Epsom salt and mix before adding to the bath water. (remember oil and water do not mix, so be sure to mix with the salt first) Some of my favorite oils from doTERRA for this bath are Adaptive Blend, Serenity Blend, rosemary, lavender, lemon, wild orange, frankincense, and eucalyptus. If muscle soreness is top priority, I will use Deep Blue Blend or Basil.

2.      1-2 cups baking soda with essential oils (same ones as listed above)

3.      1 cup Epsom salt and 1 cup baking soda

4.      Herbal bath – place herbs in a bag such as a tea ball or bag or even a cotton sock. Put this bag in a very hot bath to steep the herbs. Once the bath is a comfortable temperature, get in and enjoy! Here are some of my favorite herbs to add to the bath: chamomile, dandelion (flower), lavender, mint (peppermint, spearmint, and chocolate mint…yes chocolate mint), rose (petals), rosemary, calendula (flower), and lemongrass.
